About
David has been a programmer since 1978 or so when he discovered the computer at the local computer store and proceeded to start programming right then and there.
Along the way, he fell in love with Smalltalk and LISP and never recovered. He learned BASIC and COBOL and IBM Assembly.
FORTH is another joy, and he ported Mad Apple FORTH from Apple DOS 3.3 to Apple ProDOS, and converted from 8-bit to 16-bit at the same time by using disassembly and reassembling with the Merlin Assembler.
Now he continues to build up knowledge using Squeak (and Pharo) Smalltalk, and languages on the JVM as well as scripting languages like Ruby and Perl.
